#StopChildAbuse In India #TheDivergentIndia Post Must Look bY iNDIANS

Once as children we learnt, and then as parents some of us taught
our children - how to cross the road, not to play with fire, not to
talk to strangers.

Today we need to learn and teach our children -in a way they can
understand - about child sexual abuse.

-If you think your child has been abused or a child comes to you
and expresses his/her trouble,

1. Believe the child; children rarely lie about sexual abuse.
2. Commend the child for speaking up.
3. Assure the child that you will protect him or her.

Please share, remember, we are either parents or parents-to-be!

 A few points I'd like to add here addressing Malik and many Men I know that share the same feelings about the causes of rape;
1. Imagine that all the girls stopped wearing "flashy" dresses, do you think rapes will suddenly stop because men aren't temp
ted anymore? You know better than to say yes.
2. A majority of rapes in India(North at-least) happen when women head out to the fields in the morning to defecate. Going by the "influence of dressing" argument that we hear from men like Malik seenu and various police commisioners, What do you think tempts men in this whole process?
Following one's religion and traditions is a "personal" choice. While you can endorse someone that's doing that, you have no right to criticize a person
1. Who does not wish to follow tradition (or)
2. Who has different traditions.
I believe that while you RESPECT and ENDORSE like-minded people that share your religion/belief , you should equally learn to RESPECT and ACCEPT the choices of people who don't follow traditions/dress how they want.
DO NOT BLAME or say that there's an influence of non-conformists(liberal dressers if you'd like) or religions with no real dressing codes, on something as vile and disgusting as rape
Feminism is never about equality , it is all about over-empowering women and man-heating movement , and turning men into gay and girls into lesbian , so that man should disappear in next decade from earth . And for the girl in the pic :- DO HELL WITH YOUR LEADERSHIP ITT: people having no clue what feminism is. It means equality and yes, it is called that (feminism) and is very much needed because men have always had an advantage and latent, if not explicit, sexism fueling it.

although the idea of a leader is not
a fixed constant, one has to take context into cognizance- the woman here is chronicling breaking of the proverbial Glass Ceiling, and till the time this (women leaders) becomes a normal de rigueur, celebrating it will and should happen.

"
The best line read somewhere....dont teach a girl..what to wear...teach your son, brother, husband....NOT TO RAPE" What I wear is my own business. Yes, people do stare. Men as well as women, even children. But if I'm comfortable with what I wear, I don't think I should be tagged as a slut or whore as I am never asking for it through the clothes I wear. We women have perfect vocal cords to ask, thank you.Ok.. Forget rapes..so U r telling me u wear exposing outfits bcoz u r comfortable with it? Lol sure!!!! U wanna expose and want to b the center of attraction.. Fine u don't want guys to look at u. If that's not the case u want other girls to see u and be jealous.. It's a fact many girls admit.. A life of pleasin others and getting others attention..
Pathetic!!Let me just inform everyone that women feel the equal amount of sexual urges that men do, and, in some cases, even more. What we're talking about here is the need to respect the people around you and their bodies. I'm saying "people" instead of "women" because I refuse to believe that only women need respect in the society. We're not discussing the faults of men nor suggesting that they have a very easy life. Every person needs to learn how to treat everyone with the respect we all deserve. Even prostitues deserve respect because what they are doing is their job and they, with no education and a huge family to look after, have chosen this way of life for money. But we all do have to agree to this little fact that being born a girl in India is a lot more difficult than being a girl. I've had a lot of personal experiences and have seen many things which have led me to believe this. if women control to show off thier body as in this picture , then definitely no men get attract to it , its psychology, that is the natural attraction men towards women and vise versa its just like YOU SITTING IN FRONT OF LION WITH HAVING FRESH MEAT IN YOUR HAND !! I thing by this vulger dressing provoke the natural instict of menSome of the placards in this series are really wonderful, but a lot of them are plain stupid. In an attempt to pass on as witty and clever ones, some of the placards were just seriously cringeworthy. However, THIS ONE, takes the cake.. nay, the whole bakery for being the most stupid !With respect, feminism and humanism are not the same. Feminism is about bringing to light injustices specifically faced by women and achieving gender equality, where women are given the same rights, responsibilities and freedom as men - in social, economical and political spheres. Saying India doesn't specifically need feminism is like saying the US didn't need the civil rights movement. Equality is achieved through activism, and taking the "fem" out of "feminist" and calling yourself an "equalist" or "humanist" ignores the problem of gender inequality adversely affecting women. Women are the majority of victims if rape, domestic abuse, illiteracy, lower pay (for the same jobs as men), lack of representation in courts and Parliament and other decision making bodies that make decisions which affect women. Feminism is not an "anti-men" movement - it is a "pro-women" movement. The two terms do not lead to the same outcome. An anti-men movement would replace one type of discrimination with another. But a pro-women movement simply aims to bring women's experiences into the public discourse and give these experiences the same standing as those of men, which currently dominate areas like politics and education. We can only achieve equality by identifying inequality, which is what feminism does. From that point, we can take action to eliminate the inequality. Without women's voices being loud and clear in the public sphere, they will continue to bury all the injustices they are forced to endure.
